Built on the foundation of the Air Force 1, this special edition incorporates visual elements inspired by the legendary Air Max 95. The design features layered paneling that echoes the flowing lines of the Air Max 95, while the familiar Air Force 1 structure maintains the timeless proportions of the original basketball model.
Premium materials and subtle gradient tones reference the aesthetic language that made the Air Max 95 instantly recognisable. Combined with a Max Air cushioning unit in the sole, the sneaker bridges two influential eras of Nike design, blending basketball heritage with the innovation of Nike’s Air Max line.
Backstory
The Air Force 1, introduced in 1982 and designed by Bruce Kilgore, was the first basketball shoe to feature Nike Air cushioning. Over time it evolved from a performance model into one of the most important icons in sneaker culture. Its simple yet powerful design made it an ideal platform for reinterpretation and experimentation.
The Air Max 95, designed by Sergio Lozano and released in 1995, became equally influential for its bold design and visible forefoot Air units. Inspired by the human anatomy and natural erosion patterns, the silhouette introduced layered gradient panels that redefined Nike running footwear. The Air Force 1 Supreme Max Air 'Air Max 95' brings these two design legacies together, celebrating Nike’s history of innovation and cross-silhouette experimentation.
