Description
The Nike Air Force 1 Premium ’07 ‘Paris’ from 2007 is a special edition of the legendary Air Force 1 created as part of Nike’s city-inspired releases. The sneaker features a bold colour palette and premium construction that distinguish it from standard Air Force 1 models, while retaining the recognizable low-top silhouette, panelled upper and classic Nike Air cushioning.
With its connection to Paris and its unmistakable mid-2000s aesthetic, this release captures a period when Nike used the Air Force 1 as a canvas to celebrate cities and sneaker communities around the world. Nearly two decades after its release, finding an original pair has become increasingly difficult, making the ‘Paris’ a distinctive collector’s piece from Air Force 1 history.
Backstory
Originally designed by Bruce Kilgore and introduced in 1982, the Nike Air Force 1 began as a performance basketball sneaker and became the first basketball model to incorporate Nike Air technology. Over time, the silhouette moved far beyond the court and developed strong connections to music, fashion and street culture across cities worldwide.
In 2007, Nike celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Air Force 1 with an extensive series of special releases, premium executions and city-focused designs. The Air Force 1 Premium ’07 ‘Paris’ emerged during this important anniversary era, connecting the classic silhouette to the French capital and its street culture. Its premium execution, distinctive colourway and place within the Air Force 1’s 25th-anniversary period make it a notable example of Nike’s experimental approach during the 2000s.
